Around the College
We are all students at Abu Dhabi Men's College.
We have to be in the classroom on time.
Physics and chemistry lessons take place in a laboratory.
There are no healthy food outlets in our canteen/cafeteria.
I read books and magazines and also do IELTS practice in our college library, which is large and well-stocked.
Student services organise activities for us.
The academic office performs many administrative tasks, such as issuing ID cards and arranging exam schedules.
There is a special learning centre in our library, called the Active Learning Zone, to provide students with extra help with their English.
Conferences and large meetings are often held in the college auditorium, which is also where we do our progress tests.

Group Of Cars
The table compares four small cars on the basis of their price, engine size and fuel consumption. Overall, the biggest car, the VW Golf, is the most expensive and has the lowest fuel efficiency.
Cost is an important factor in buying a car. The most expensive car in the group was the VW Golf, at over $18,000. This was three thousand dollars more expensive than the other three cars, which all cost between $15,000 and $15,800. The German Volkswagen also had the biggest engine size. It had a 1600cc engine. In contrast, the cheapest car in the group, the Nissan Micra, had the smallest engine, at only 1200cc.
Fuel economy is also a significant factor to consider before buying a car. The cheapest car in the group, the Nissan Micra, had the lowest fuel consumption, at 52 miles per gallon. However, the Volkswagen Golf had the worst fuel consumption, at only 40 miles per gallon. This was due to its larger engine size.
In conclusion, the bigger the car, the more expensive it is and the lower the fuel efficiency. Customers have to choose carefully between power, features and cost before making their dream purchase!

Top Ten Date-Producing countries,2001
The bar graph shows date production in tonnes for the world's top producers in 2001.Ten countries in the Gulf region and northern Africa are featured. Overall, Egypt and Iran account for the majority of goods whilst Sudan and Libya are in the minority.
First, Egypt took the lion's share of production with over a million tonnes but Iran was a close second with almost .9 million. Following them came the UAE and Saudi Arabia, rivalling each other with about 740,000 tonnes each. Pakistan and Iraq, with outputs of approximately 630,000, were not far behind. The remaining/rest of the nations, however, was far less productive. Algeria supplied the world with nearly 400,000 tonnes and Oman around a quarter million. Finally, Sudan’s and Libya's crops yielded under 0.2 million each.
In summary, date production is the most abundant in Egypt and Iran. In contrast, harvests in Oman and countries in northern Africa are far less plentiful.

UK budget 1996
The pie chart shows the budget of the UK government in 1996. Overall, social security, health, and education were the most important targets.
The biggest segment was social security. Pensions, employment support and other benefits made up about 30% of total payments. Health was the second highest cost. Hospital and medical services accounted for £53 billion, or about 15% of the budget. The cost of UK education was £38 billion. The government spent about seven percent (7%) of income on debt or £25 billion of the total cost, and alike amounts went towards defence, £22 billion and law and order, £17 billion.
Expenditure on housing, transport and industry totaled £37 billion. Finally, other expenses accounted for £23 billion.
To sum up, most of the British government’s expenses go on social benefit and health. However, education, defence, and law and order are also most important areas of spending.

Thief at the Emirates phone market
Last week, I was in Abu Dhabi mall with my family. We were at the Emirates phone shop market.
While we were choosing a phone for my brother there were two men standing in front of the cash counter. One of them was paying money to the cashier, then suddenly the other man stole the money, while the cashier was returning the change to the payer, but the thief fled from the shop. The security people tried to stop him but he hit them then skipped through the people. After that by an easy way the security people found him. The security men who were in the shop called their group who were in the mall, and gave them the description of the thief, then they found him by the camera while he was skipping from the fire exit door.
To sum up the story, I would to say nobody can steal or make any crime anywhere in the mall or out of the mall because, you could find every where the camera for more security.

City & Village
Why do so many people move to big cities? There are very many reasons, which we ought to know. In my essay I want to compare and contrast life in a big city and in a village in two aspects- communication and places to have fun.
There are certain similarities between the two lifestyles. Firstly, in both villages and towns you find domestic residences. Roads, schools, hospitals, shops, garages, and so on, are also common to both village and city.
There are many differences between the two lifestyles. First of all in a big city the communication is more developed more types of communication like buses, local buses, taxis, trams, and in some very big cities like Warsaw there is also a tube. In a small village this situation is very different from in a city. In a village there are mostly two or three bus stops. Living in a village and having no car is very difficult. For the same situation in a city looks differently. If you want to go for some shopping you can take the local bus that drives every ten minutes or you can get a taxi or different type of transport. Even if you have forgotten to buy something you can go or drive to the shop any time you want. The second aspect in with I want to compare a big city and a village is places to have fun- places like restaurants, cinemas, discos, shopping centers, swimming-pools, ice- rinks, zoos and plenty more. When you are living in a city you have no time for boredom. If you are tired after work you can go to the cinema for a premiere of a new film. Or maybe you will visit the zoo with your kids. When you have an anniversary you can go to a restaurant for a romantic dinner. And when you want to have some activity you can go to the gym or swimming- pool. Living in a city has a lot of opportunities for interesting time spending.
Summing up, living in a big city is a lot easier. There is good communication and a lot of places where you can go and have fun with your friends or family. I prefer living in a village. But everyone has their one taste and about tastes you don't discuss.
